First off, Welcome to Maverick Homes website. We’d like to take the opportunity to explain how we work in terms of becoming a tenant in one of our managed properties


Where possible, we have videos of the property, some we’ll add to the advert but if not please ask if we have one as not all make the grade for marketing material.

No Agency Fee

That’s right we cover the cost of all your background checks (we have done this prior to the new legislation coming in in 2019)

Full Online Application

If you wish to move forward on one of properties, we offer a full online application, Including signing the tenancy agreement. So no back and forth to Our Office/City or even Country.


We’ll add you onto our system, which will automatically send you an invoice for a holding fee, and our outsourced reference company will be in contact to gain further information relevant to your application.

Background checks take roughly 3-5 working days. Once all the checks are complete we will generate an invoice for a deposit/rent, we’ll also raise the tenancy agreement which we will send to you via Signable, so you can read it at your leisure.

Holding Deposit

To take the property off the market we require a holding deposit of one weeks rent. We will hold this with your permission until you move in which will then go towards your rent/deposit. It is worth noting that, this non-refundable for the following reasons a) Providing us with information in relation to your credit history/salary/employment etc that then turns out to be incorrect b) You pull pit and decide not to move forward on the property c) If you don’t have right to rent in the UK, this only applies tot hose that require Visa’s etc d) You drag your feet, so for instance we agree a rough/specific move in date but fail to fill the application or provide us with supporting documents.

Deposit Option 1

We have two potential options; one is the standard deposit of one months rent which is lodged with a Custodial Scheme with The Deposit Protection Scheme (means they keep the money, not us or the landlord)

Deposit Option 2

You can use a Zero deposit Scheme, which in essence acts as an insurance in place of a deposit. The scheme cost one weeks rent and is non refundable, as a classic deposit in option 1, will be fully returned if the property is left in the same condition. It is also worth noting that an insurance company will be quite strict on criteria.

Move in

Prior to move in we will undertake a photographic inventory, so we all have an agreed point of reference (ensures you are protected against possible previous damage etc) and then move in and relax...
